I highly suggest reading my first blog post. (Some Things About Minecraft You Should Know) You have been warned.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, so you just generated a new Minecraft world, and it's your first one. What do you do?
Well you have come to the right blog. Minecraft's controls are easy to use, and can be changed anytime on the Options screen. WASD: Move. Mouse: Rotate. Left click: Break block. Right Click: place/use block. Q: Throw item out. Space: Jump. Shift: Crouch. Esc: Pause. So now you know the controls, lets survive now. First things first, you need to punch trees. And you have to hold down the left mouse button or you will end up with nothing but bloody knuckles. Once you break the tree down, use the mouse scroll wheel to switch items. Then, click E to open the inventory. You will see the player, the inventory, armor slots, and a crafting grid. The crafting grid allows you to craft various items in 2x2. (the grid is 2x2) If you take 1 peice of log and put it on the grid, you will get 4 planks. if you put all 4 planks on the grid (will take up the 2x2 grid), you will get a crafting table. you can place this block to craft more items that's recipes won't fit in the 2x2 grid. To open it, right click it once its placed. You can see that it shows the inventory, and a 3x3 crafting grid. Also, killing pigs, chickens, or cows will give you types of meat. Meat will fill some yof your hunger bar. Cooking meat will make it refill more hunger. There are other types of food to. Heres a guide for crafting on your first night or later on in the game.
Planks: Can be used for MANY things.
Crafting Table: Can be used to craft more of a variety of items.
Stick: Can create most tools and other things.
Wooden Pickaxe: Can mine some blocks. (un-minable blocks drop nothing)
Cobble Stone: Got from mining stone with any type of pickaxe.
More things coming soon!

Some Things About Minecraft You May Not Know

Some Things About Minecraft You May Not Know:

1. Slimes only spawn in certain chunks.
2. You need a diamond pickaxe to mine obsidian.
3. If you wear a pumpkin on your head, you can look at Enderman without them attacking you. (but they will attack if you hit them)
4. On your first night, try to find coal (black dots in stone) and iron (brownish dots in stone) to survive your night. Iron needs to be heated up in a furnace (8 cobblestone in a circle on your crafting table) with coal, wood things, and more organic stuff.
5. Enchantments can upgrade your tools to the max!
6. On your first night, use 4 wooden planks (put a log on your 2x2 crafting grid to get 4 planks) on all spaces on your 2x2 crafting grid to make a 6x6 crafting grid.
